CubyCloud combines a Go API, a SvelteKit web app, and SQLite in one self-hosted file drive. Store files on local disks or S3-compatible storage, organize them in personal and shared workspaces, and share them with registered users or through public links. The web app is embedded in a single container, with no external database or Redis service to maintain.
A self-hosted file drive can take more work to run when it depends on several services, such as a web server, external database, and cache. Files may also be spread across local disks and object storage. CubyCloud brings the drive and storage options together in one application, while keeping storage on infrastructure you choose.
CubyCloud packages its Go API and embedded SvelteKit web app in a single container. SQLite stores application data, while files can live on local disks or S3-compatible storage. A browser-based setup wizard creates the first administrator and configures storage. Personal and shared workspaces have separate quota policies, and public file links can use password protection.
The Go API uses Echo, Bun ORM, and SQLite with embedded migrations. Storage drivers support local disks and S3-compatible object storage. Uploads to My Storage support resumable TUS transfers; capacity checks and upload reservations help prevent storage overcommit. The SvelteKit interface is embedded in the application container.
